Terms of Service

Welcome to Tixon ("we", "us", "our", or "Tixon Technologies"). These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of tixon.app and related services, including event discovery, ticket booking, team registrations, and in-event chat. Please read these Terms carefully before using the platform. By creating an account or booking a ticket, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Tixon in any way — including browsing events, creating an account, registering for an event, joining a team, or using any feature — you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated herein by reference.

If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you must discontinue use of Tixon immediately. Tixon reserves the right to update these Terms at any time; continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

2. Eligibility

  • You must be at least 16 years of age to use Tixon. If you are under 18, you confirm that you have obtained parental or guardian consent.
  • You must be legally capable of entering into a binding contract under applicable Indian law.
  • You must not have been previously suspended or removed from Tixon for violating these Terms.
  • Your use of Tixon must comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and rules in India, including those governing online transactions and data protection.

3. Accounts & Security

Registration

To book tickets or join teams, you must create an account using a valid email address or phone number. You may also sign in using your Google account via Google OAuth. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to keep your profile information up to date.

Account security

  • You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password and account credentials. Do not share your password with anyone.
  • You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account, whether or not authorised by you.
  • Notify us immediately at tixontechnical@gmail.com if you suspect unauthorised use of your account.
  • Tixon will never ask for your password via email, phone, or support chat.

Onboarding

After signup, you will be guided through an onboarding process to complete your profile. Providing accurate educational and personal information helps event organisers understand their attendees and may be required to register for certain events.

One account per person

Each individual may hold only one Tixon account. Creating multiple accounts to circumvent bans, promo code limits, or ticket restrictions is prohibited and may result in all accounts being suspended.

4. Event Registration & Tickets

Booking

When you book a ticket on Tixon, you are entering into a registration agreement with the event organiser. Tixon acts as the technology platform facilitating this transaction — we are not the organiser of the events listed unless explicitly stated.

Ticket validity

  • Tickets are issued in digital form and contain a unique QR code for venue check-in. Do not share your ticket QR code publicly — it is tied to your registration and can only be scanned once.
  • Tickets are non-transferable unless the event organiser explicitly permits transfers.
  • Presenting a fraudulent, duplicated, or altered ticket is prohibited and may result in denial of entry and account suspension.

Event details

Event details — including date, time, venue, and ticket availability — are provided by organisers and may change. Tixon will endeavour to reflect updates promptly but is not responsible for organiser-initiated changes. If an event is cancelled or significantly changed, contact the organiser directly; Tixon will assist where possible.

Promo codes

Promo codes are issued by event organisers and are subject to their terms (validity period, maximum uses, ticket type restrictions). Each promo code may only be applied once per booking. Attempting to exploit promo codes through multiple accounts or automated means is prohibited.

5. Payments & Refunds

Payment processing

Payments on Tixon are processed by Zoho Payments, a third-party payment gateway. By completing a payment, you agree to Zoho Payments' terms of service. Supported methods include credit/debit cards, UPI, and net banking, subject to Zoho Payments' availability.

Pricing

All ticket prices are listed in Indian Rupees (INR) and are inclusive of any platform convenience fees unless stated otherwise. Prices are set by event organisers and may vary by ticket tier.

Refunds & cancellations

  • Refund policies are set by individual event organisers. Tixon does not guarantee refunds unless explicitly stated on the event page.
  • If an event is cancelled by the organiser, any refund will be processed by the organiser directly or through Tixon at the organiser's instruction.
  • For free events, no payment or refund is applicable.
  • To request a refund, contact the event organiser or reach us at tixontechnical@gmail.com with your booking reference.

Payment failures

If a payment fails, no ticket will be issued. Do not attempt to re-submit payment multiple times rapidly; contact your bank or our support if the issue persists. Tixon is not liable for bank-side charges or holds resulting from failed transactions.

6. Team Bookings

Certain tickets support team or group registration where multiple participants are associated with a single booking. The following rules apply:

  • Team leader: the person who initiates the booking and generates the invite link is the team leader. The team leader is solely responsible for completing payment for the entire team.
  • Invite links: invite links are time-limited and unique. Sharing an invite link publicly — beyond your intended teammates — may allow unintended persons to claim a team slot. Handle invite links responsibly.
  • Joining a team: by clicking an invite link and confirming to join, you consent to your registered profile data (name, email, and profile information) being associated with the team registration and shared with the event organiser.
  • Team size requirements: some tickets have minimum and maximum team size requirements set by the organiser. You may not proceed to payment unless the minimum team size is met.
  • Disputes: disputes between team members regarding payments, attendance, or refunds must be resolved among the team. Tixon is not responsible for internal team disagreements.

7. User Conduct

You agree not to use Tixon to:

  • Provide false, misleading, or fraudulent information during registration or booking.
  • Impersonate any person, organisation, or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the platform, other users' accounts, or our backend systems.
  • Use automated scripts, bots, crawlers, or scraping tools to extract data, bulk-book tickets, or abuse the invite system.
  • Resell, broker, or scalp event tickets for profit without express organiser permission.
  • Post, transmit, or share illegal, defamatory, obscene, threatening, or discriminatory content in event chat channels or any part of the platform.
  • Exploit vulnerabilities or bugs in the platform. If you discover a security vulnerability, please report it responsibly to tixontechnical@gmail.com.
  • Circumvent or disable any security, anti-fraud, or access control mechanism.
  • Facilitate or assist any third party in doing any of the above.

Violation of these conduct rules may result in immediate account suspension, ticket cancellation (without refund where permitted by law), and, where applicable, referral to law enforcement authorities.

8. Event Organiser Terms

If you use Tixon's admin platform (admin.tixon.app) to create and manage events, you additionally agree to the following:

  • Accuracy: you are responsible for the accuracy of all event information you publish, including date, venue, pricing, ticket availability, and eligibility criteria.
  • Attendee data: registrant data shared with you through the platform (name, email, phone, form responses) must be used solely for the purpose of managing the event and communicating with attendees. You must not sell, share, or repurpose this data.
  • Refund obligations: if you cancel an event or make material changes, you are responsible for notifying attendees and processing any applicable refunds promptly.
  • Content: event names, descriptions, banners, and other content you upload must not infringe third-party intellectual property rights, contain misleading claims, or violate any applicable law.
  • Compliance: you are responsible for ensuring your event complies with all local laws, permissions, and venue regulations.

Tixon reserves the right to remove any event listing that violates these Terms or that we deem harmful to the platform or its users.

9. Intellectual Property

All content, design, code, branding, and materials on Tixon — including the Tixon logo, name, user interface, and proprietary features — are owned by or licensed to Tixon Technologies and are protected by applicable copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to access and use Tixon for personal, non-commercial purposes only. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, modify, create derivative works of, or commercially exploit any part of Tixon without our express written permission.

By submitting content to Tixon (such as chat messages, profile information, or organiser event content), you grant Tixon a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive licence to use, store, display, and distribute that content as necessary to provide the service.

10. Third-Party Links & Services

Tixon may contain links to external websites or integrate third-party services (including Google OAuth and Zoho Payments). These services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies. Tixon does not endorse, control, or accept responsibility for the content or practices of any third-party services.

Your use of third-party services is entirely at your own risk. We recommend reviewing the terms and privacy policies of any third-party service you interact with.

11. Disclaimers

Tixon is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

  • We do not guarantee that Tixon will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components.
  • We are not responsible for the accuracy, completeness, or quality of information provided by event organisers.
  • We are not responsible for the conduct of event attendees, organisers, or any third party at or in connection with any event.
  • Event attendance is at your own risk. Tixon makes no warranties regarding the safety, quality, or experience of any event.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Tixon Technologies and its directors, employees, partners, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses, arising from:

  • Your use of or inability to use Tixon;
  • Unauthorised access to or use of our servers or your personal data;
  • Any errors, mistakes, or inaccuracies in event listings;
  • Cancellation, postponement, or modification of any event by an organiser;
  • Any conduct or content of third parties, including event organisers or other users;
  • Payment failures or disputes with Zoho Payments or your bank.

In no event shall our total liability to you exceed the amount you paid to Tixon in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim, or INR 1,000, whichever is greater.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Tixon Technologies and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or in connection with:

  • Your violation of these Terms;
  • Your use of Tixon in a manner not authorised by these Terms;
  • Your violation of any applicable law or third-party rights;
  • Content you submit, post, or transmit through Tixon.

14. Termination

Tixon reserves the right to suspend or permanently terminate your account at any time, with or without notice, for any of the following reasons:

  • Violation of these Terms or our policies;
  • Fraudulent, abusive, or illegal activity;
  • Actions that harm other users, organisers, or the platform;
  • Extended inactivity (we will provide reasonable notice where required by law).

Upon termination, your right to access Tixon ceases immediately. Provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination (including intellectual property, indemnification, disclaimers, and limitation of liability) will remain in effect.

15. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of Tixon shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India.

Before initiating any legal proceedings, you agree to first contact Tixon at tixontechnical@gmail.com and make a good-faith effort to resolve the dispute informally within 30 days.

16. Changes to These Terms

We may revise these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. For significant changes, we may also notify you via email or an in-app banner.

Your continued use of Tixon after the effective date of any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree with the updated Terms, you must stop using Tixon and may request account deletion.
